It has been quite a while since Faith and I made an entry on our website. Why does life get so busy that it seems difficult to do things you enjoy doing?
Well, over the last several months, this mom has been trying to decide what I want to do in the next season of my life. My two youngest children are now 13 and 15 and don’t require the one-on-one time they’ve needed since they were born. This is giving me more and more time to find other things and interests to do with my time.
Since 2003, I’ve been teaching classes and writing books on sex and intimacy in marriage. It has been an enjoyable endeavor, although it has been a great deal of work. Now I’m thinking about opening an online store that carries marriage products like massage oils, lotions, romantic kits, and other items for married couples–all in a safe, clean, and non-pornographic site. I plan to call it Passionate Partnership. It will allow leaders and students to have a fun place to shop for things they heard and learned about in class.
It will take me a month or two to get it up and running, but I’m excited because I will be working with a great company called StomperNet. Over the last three years they’ve been in business, they are proving to be one of the most generous companies with information and training available on the web. They are pros in working with the most advanced internet marketers out there, yet are very patient and helpful for newbies like me.
I’m excited about my new venture and nervous at the same time. It is going to cost me some money, yet I’m finding out that it takes money to make money. I’ve been selling quite a few books lately, so I’m hoping to make some money by investing this money into my new business.
I’m at the point that if I don’t give it a try, I will always wonder what could have been. I know I have some great products for teaching that have blessed many marriages around the country, and I know couples are always looking for ways to make their marriage more meaningful and romantic.
So, keep an eye out for Passionate Partnership in the days ahead. And who knows? It might become one of your favorite places to shop on the web!
