We recently came across a concept that we had never heard before. It is “aging in place.” While it appears to be self-explanatory, we wanted to know more about it.
We searched this term and found a neat website that offers some independent living spaces for aging parents that can be built either by an independent contractor or can be purchased as a pre-fabricated unit. These units can be added to existing structures or built as stand-alone units.
This type of architectural design is an ideal way for multigenerational families and households that result when an aging parent comes to live with their children.
